A meeting and cemetery clean-up has been scheduled for Sunday, August 22nd from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. All volunteers are encouraged to attend in order to take part in a meeting to discuss plans for the care and upkeep to Everdon Woods (A.K.A. the Forest Preserve surrounding Bachelors Grove cemetery) as well as the cemetery.

The meeting itself will start at 2:00 PM and a BBQ will also take place while out at the cemetery. Drinks will be provided but if you wish to bring something to cook over the charcoal grill please feel free to bring it along.

See you all next month!

Megan and I enjoyed seeing the Grove again. I loved the ideas--especially about diverting the waterflow through the creek and quarry
pond so that algae doesn't stagnate there. I hope we can get permission to cut all those weeds down. It's impossible to clean the
garbage out properly or rake in the fall if we can't. Let us know who and when you want us to make those calls.

Last October, we had a few paranormal events during the cleanup. Megan heard the rusty porch swing sound down by the creek, and I
heard the scream by the creek. Then our camera batteries drained after only 19 pictures. Normally, that camera is good for days on a
full battery.

Today, only Megan experienced anything. While we were standing around talking in the entrance to the Grove, she heard a long sigh
behind her, and it wasn't from the group or a visitor. That's about it.
