I work in the south suburbs as a social worker and recently had a chat with someone who used to be an employee of the Oakwood Cemetery and a resident of the area for a good chunk of his life. Him and I talked about the urban legends and haunting stories in the area and he had some insight as a former cemtery employee (he claims to have seen a Civil War soldier twice during two separate thunderstorms. He encountered it thinking on both occasions that it was a homeless man attempting to camp out there..) and as a long time resident. When I mentioned BG, he said, "Yeah, we used to hang out there a lot. You heard a lot about people seeing all kinds of things there; especially around dawn or so when that pond gets misty and then that house appears...." When I asked him about it, he said that he had never seen it himself. However, it got me to thinking about possible optical effects that such a mist would have. What time do the sightings of the house usually happen? Interesting....
