Old Foundations

I was at BG yesterday at 7am and found someone had spray painted on trees on the west side of the creek. They cleared a path by cutting the weeds and such right to the old foundations. The silo already has a piece knocked off of the base and the foundations have been vandalized already. I`m afraid that these last remains of the settlement that was there will be gone in no time. There are people that do respect the history of BG settlement and I know they will not be the ones destroying the foundations but the young punks that monitor the site will be the ones to do it. Look what happened to the cemetery!!!!!!!!!

I noticed the new trail the other day as well. I think it was last year when someone tore down a portion of the stone foundation to the one on the north side of the old road. It's a shame and hopefully it doesn't get worse. It was bad enough that the water well next to the same location was getting filled in with the remains of the foundation...

I haven't noticed any damage to the base of the old silo at the south side location. That area is already falling apart as it is so I guess they can't damage it too much more...
