Megan and I had a wonderful time! It was great to meet Pete and all the other volunteers, and so worth the trip. The entire experience was peaceful. I did not feel haunted or tailed by criminals. It felt good to do some civil service work. I'd really like to come back for spring cleanup. Also, it would be great if we had more visits with special guests. I missed the meeting with Dale K. and I would go again if a meeting was arranged.
One paranormal event did happen. Our digital camera had fully charged batteries in when we left the car. It takes up to 200 pictures before the battery light comes on, provided you turn off the camera in between takes to save the battery. Megan did this and only got 19 pictures before the battery light came on. She tried the camera an hour later, same thing. On the trip home, she turned the camera on and it came on at full power with a full battery meter. We've had the camera for over 2 years, and this has never happened before. We joked that the spirits wanted her to help with the raking, got impatient that she took too many pictures, said enough! Drained her power temporarily. They wanted to make sure she got that raking done.
